Public broadcast in Bunia

Public broadcast in Bunia

On 9 March 2007 IRfJ organized a public broadcast in Bunia to celebrate the production of the 25th program in the series. Authorities who normally participate in our programming were invited to listen to the broadcast together with the community, and then to answer questions from the audience after the broadcast. Approximately 250 Bunians showed up and the debate after the broadcast lasted over two hours. Authorities present included the ICC Deputy Prosecutor and Registrar, the MONUC Director and those responsible for Political Affaires and Human Rights monitoring at MONUC, the Prosecutor and Judge/President for the Tribunal of First Instance for Ituri, the Judge/President for the Military Court in Ituri, the Acting Commissioner for Ituri.
