IRfJ in KIVUS

In July 2009 IRfJ launched in the Kivus region of DRC, establishing partnerships with Radio Colombe in Goma and Radio Tayna in Kusogho.

IRfJ teams were trained in each radio and each radio has begun producing their own IRfJ-base series programs in French and Swahili.

Over the following year each radio will develop new series of programming to compliment the base series, each designed to be interactive in nature and encourage these target communities to communicate regularly about their justice concerns with the authorities responsible for bringing justice to this region.

Four Listening clubs are being established in Goma: in Kisiti and Nashuru, and two clubs (one for men and one for women) in the Goma prison.
Two listening clubs will be established in Kasogho as well.
