IRfJ in CAR

In January 2008 IRfJ launched a pilot project in Central African Republic with our base IRfJ series. The six programs produced through the pilot were broadcast in French and Sango languages in Bangui, the capital city of CAR, on Radio Ndeke Luka, in Bangui. CDs of the programming were available to radios in the provinces of CAR free of charge.

Links to these pilot programs can be found here.

In February 2008 IRfJ organized a public meeting in Bangui with ICC Chief Prosecutor Luis Moreno Ocampo. Click here for more information and photos from this public meeting.

In September 2009 IRfJ followed up on the pilot in 2008 by launching a national program in partnership with Radio Notre Dame, a network of six radios: in Bangui, Bereberti, Bouar, Bossangoa, Mbaiki and Bambari, CAR. Programs are produced with questions from each community in the network, in French and Sango.
